Godfather (1991) Malayalam Blockbucter Comedy Movie DVDRip

Godfather is a 1991 Malayalam film directed by Lal and Siddique. The only movie that ran continuously for 405 days (95 days in regular shows and 310 days as a noon show) in a theatre in Trivandrum.It is one of the most popular and longest running Malayalam film.

In 2004, Priyadarshan remade this film in Hindi titled as Hulchul. the film was one among the major hits of the releasing year.

Plot

The story centers around the rivalry between two families Anjooran and Anappara, headed by Anjooran Muthalali (N.N. Pillai) and Anappara Achamma (Philomina) respectively. Both families rule the place with power and might, but Anjooran family has upperhand in general. Their rivalry began in earnest at the time of wedding of Balaraman (Anjoorans eldest son), where would be bride was forced to marry Anappara Achamas eldest son (Paravoor Bharathan) and in the subsequent altercation, Anjooran loses his wife and Anappara Achchama loses her husband, the head of the house. Once back from jail, Anjooran vows revenge until death with Anappara family and strongly disallow any further marriage in his family. Now eldest son Balaraman is in charge of timber depot, younger sons Swaminathan (Innocent) and Bheeman Raghu assists him in business. Youngest son Ramabhadran is studying for final year LLB.

Anjooran's youngest Son Ramabhadran Mukesh is studying in the same college as Achchamas grand daughter Malu. Both knowing of the history of their family feud decides to play love in pretense. But as the fate has it, they fall in love with each other. Now Rambhadran and Mayinkutty (close friend of Rambhadran) faces the biggest problem of their life, how to convince Anjooran of the love and his desire to marry into the rival family. Meanwhile Mayin Kutty (Jagadish) discovers that Swaminathan(Innocent) has secretly married Kochammini (KPAC Lalitha) a dance teacher. Mayinkutty uses this information to black mail Swaminathan and help his friend get married. But his plan back fires as Anjooran play a beautiful mind game to wring out the truth. When Anjooran finally finds out, he mercilessly banishes Ramabhadran and Swaminathan out of his house. Achchama has other devious plans in mind as she finally realizes her dream of breaking the unity of Anjooran family. In a triple deal she secretly plans wedding of Malu with a doctor while request help of Anjooran to help stop his sons plans, but also plead Ramabhadran to take the hand of Malu as if its her final wish. Ramabhadran and Verrabhadran (Siddique) (Achchamas youngest son) soon discovers that Achamma plans to irrevocably ruining any chance of ending the rivalry so they make clever plan with the help of Swaminathan, Kochamani and Malyinkutty. They manage to enter marriage hall and somehow bring things to a very happy conclusion in a very comic and novel climax.
